An English cheddar, baked vegetable balls.
Amazing sauce to go with it.
For the rounds
Ingredients
1 pc - Onion (chop)
The Mix
Onion Sauce
Ingredients
2 medium - Onions (peel and slice)
2 Tbsp - Olive oil
2 Tbsp - Butter
1 tsp - Sugar
1 tsp - Balsamic vinegar
3 cups - Vegetable stock (recipe given below)
4 tsp - Corn flour
4 tsp - Cold water
To taste - Salt
To taste - Pepper
Method
Make a thin paste by mixing the corn flour and water. Keep it aside.
In another saucepan, heat the oil and butter.
Add the onions and cook for 10 minutes on low heat or until you get a caramelised flavour.
Add the sugar, vinegar, vegetable stock and stir well.
Cook for a further 5 minutes.
Now put the corn flour paste in it.
Boil further for 10 minutes till the sauce is slightly thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
To serve
Put the rounds in a dish and pour the onion sauce over it.
Serve the creamed peas on the side.
Vegetable stock
Ingredients
2” - Bottle Gourd {Gheeya or Loki or Doodhi} (peel and chop)
1/4th - Cabbage (chop)
1/2 - Carrot (chop)
1/2 - Tomato (chop)
1/2 - Onion (chop)
Method
Add 750 ml water.
Boil and blend.
